Gili, Bangsal To Bali Amed

Freebird Express offer a
highly rated daily service from Amed in the north east of Bali to the Gili
Islands and Lombok. They have a new (2017) boat, the "Freebird Express
2" which they will operate along with another new boat, set to launch mid
2018. The trip from Amed to Gili is the shortest possible sea route from Bali.
NOTE: Only use this service if you are staying in NORTH BALI - Amed is 3+hrs
drive from most popular areas in southwest Bali and pickup is expensive. Also
NOT suitable for Ubud.
The daily
departure sails from Amed
to Gili at 09:30. Hotel pickups in the local area will usually
be between 08:00 and 08:30. In optimal sea conditions the trip to Gili
Trawangan takes 45 - 60 minutes, afterward stopping at Gili Air and Lombok(Bangsal). It
is only a 10 minute trip between each of the Gilis and Lombok. Departure times
are found in the schedule or simply by using the search box.
Arrival back
in Amed is about 13:00 each day. Ticket prices include free hotel transfers from
Tulamben and Amed only. If you are staying further away additional charges will
apply, payable on the day you travel.
Transfer info
can be filled in during the booking process but if you are staying in Ubud or
South west Bali then it is cheaper and quicker to take a boat departing from
Padang Bai with a different carrier as hotel transfers are then included.
